Description of the Pardoner

He had bulging eye balls, and blonde hair.  He never wore a hat or a hood.

The narrator said he sang a lot and could winning over a crowd. He sang for the name of Jesus.

Me and the Pardorner have a lot in common. We both sing for the name of Jesus! I love to sing!

Description of the Summoner

The summoner was a scary-looking kind of guy. He had large pimples on his face. The text says that he loved Garlic and Onions. He also loved to drink, and when he got drunk he would resite things he had memorized.

I think the Narrator feels sorry for the summoner. The text talks of how ugly his was, and how he scared off little children, and that he was a varlet, meaning he was kind of a nuisance. I think that the narrator thinks he was nice and did a good job at being a summoner.

I think that the Summoner is probably very nice, but when he begins drinking, he probably is very obnoxious. I think people may not be very nice to him and probably are very ugly to him because of the fact he was a summoner, and had a funny looking face.

Description of the Reeve

The Reeve kept a shaved beard. He wore a long blue over coat, and had a rusty blade at his side. He wore his coat tucked in his belt.

The narrator describes the Reeve as not a very liked person. He was easlily angered, and not really a person you want to make angry, because he could get you in a lot of trouble. The Reeve was a rat!

I dont really think a lot of the Reeve. The text says that he rode in the back, i think he either wanted to watch everyone to see who he could snitch on, or he had nobody that liked him so he was kind of shunned to the back.

Description of the Manciple

The Manciple didnt have any formal education, but was a very smart man and very good at business. He couldn't read or right but was still a very intellegent guy.

I think the narrator is in an awe about the Manciple. I think he feels that is kind of ironic that he has no education, and cant read nor write, but yet is such a smart man. He is very good with doing business. The narrator says that in any legal case he could outdo anyone else.

I like the Manciple. He may not have been in a position where he could have been educated but he didnt use that as an excuse not make something of himself, nor did he use it as an excuse to be lazy.

Description of the Miller

The miller was very fat, had a long red beard, and a wart on his nose with a hair in it! GROSS! He wore a white coat with a blue hood. He was very strong.

I think the narrator is fearful of the Miller. He talks of how stong he is. I also think he thinks the Miller is good at his job, and knows how to scam people to make some money.

I really dont like the Miller. I think he is very boastful is very selfish. He thinks he can run over people. He also doesn't sound like he has a very good past.

Description of the Plowman

The plowman wore a tabbered smock (a jacket made of heavy fabrics) and he rode a mare.

I think that the narrator is very respectful of the plowman, as he was his brother the parson. The plowman was just like the parson and was very dedicated to his faith. The narrator says he was a very hard worker.

I think the plowman was very humble. It says he loves God with his heart and mind. He also wasn't affraid to work, and was always into charity. He put other needs before his own. He is true and faithful and goes by the commandments of the Bible.

The Description of the Parson

The text describes his actions more than he does his physical appearance. Since the narrator has judged some of the others based on the things they wear, and everything he says about the Parson is good I would imagine the Parson dresses appropriately. Based on the Parson's actions and how holy he is, I would say that he dresses modestly.

The narrator actually likes the Parson. He really didnt like the Friar, and made of the Nun, and he actually likes the Parson. He describes him as the perfect priest, and talks about all his ways. Its kind of ironic how the narrator like people like the skipper who steak and kill people, and then all of the sudden likes the Parson.

I think the Parson had a heart of gold. He put everyones needs before his own, and it didnt take much to satisfy the Parson. I think the Parson was a true man, and i am inspired my his giving actions and how dedicated he is to his faith.

The Wife of Bath Description

The Wife of Bath has large hip and gap teeth. She wore red scarlet panty hoes, and new shoes. She also wore a hat. She was basically described as larger woman.

The narrator describes HER as HANDSOME.. So I imagine he doesnt think she is very pretty. He also describes her as being with 5 husbands, and not to mention the men she had been with in her youth. She was also very good at travaling. She experienced in many ways.

I think she was a desperate woman. Desperate for love. I also think she was a very curious woman, she wanted to see what was out in the world.

Description of the Doctor

The Doctor wore a blood red garment with a slash of blueish-gray, and it was lined with taffeta.

The narrator thinks he is very smart was very professional. He thought he was a perfect practicing physician. And said that he was also had a strong love for money.

I think the doctor was very smart and very good at what he does. But that doesnt mean he ws the best of people. I think the doctor was more in it for himself. He loved to help people because he got something in return, money.

Description of the Skipper

The skipper was a sailer. He wore a lanyard from his neck with a dagger hanging from it, and woolen gown that went down to his knee.

The narrator is a bit confusing. He says that the Skipper is a good guy, but the skipper is a theif and a murderer. Its kinda strange that the narrator actually likes him.

I dont like the skipper. He seems a bit sick and twisted to me.

Description of the Cook

The cook was a very good cook, and was very good at what he did.

The narrator felt kind of sorry for the cook because he had an ulser on his knee, and back in those days, they didnt have as much medicine as we do now to heal sore and stop them from spreading.

I think the cook was kind of determined to do what he loved to do. Even though he has an ulcer on his knee, and could probably use it as an excuse to stop cooking, he still cooks and does it very well.

The Five Tradesmen Description

The five tradesmen names were Haberdasher, Dyer, Carpenter, Weaver, and Carpet Maker. The dress very nice and trendy. Everything the wore, the made it look nice and classy.

The narrator says they are very wise, and hold high places in the town. But he talks of how their wives want attention and glory. The wives just want to go to church to be seen. He think that they are kind of fake, and have wrong intentions. Maybe even a little snobby.

I feel like the tradesmen may spoil their wives. Because of how the wives act, I feel it reflects onto the tradesmen, that they may be seeking nothing but attention as well.

Description of the Franklin

The Franklin had a white beard and was dressed very nicely and professionally. He also kept a little purse that hung from his girdle.

The narrator really likes the Franklin. He talks about how he is into politics because of his riches and how he loves to have a good time and party. As his father did, he felt that his one goal in life is to have plessure. He was very cheerful and optomistic.

Franklin seems like he doesn't do a lot wrong, but that doesnt mean he was the best of people. He seems like he focus to much on partying and having fun rather than anything else.

Description of the Sergeant of Law

The Sergeant of Law wore a homely parti-colored coat and a Girt with a silken belt of pin-stripe stuff. He was very unmatched.

I dont think the narrator really liked the way the The Sergeant of Law dressed. When talking of his appearance, he said he had said enough. He basically was saying he was unmatched. The narrator also says he was very busy, and that his fame and his positioin was basically what mattered to him, but he was very good at what he did.

I think that the Sergeant of Law was very smart and good at what he did. I think he was very competitive and had to be the best and have the highest position. I think he has a lot of determination.

Description of the Oxford Cleric

The text describes the Cleric as not too fat. He had a hollow look and a sober stare. The thread upon his overcoat was bare, meaning he didnt dress very nice, he had kind of raggedy clothing.

The narrator thinks that the Oxfor Cleric was formal and respectful. He was very educated, and had no other care but for his books. The narrator also thought he had good moral values.

I think that The cleric had good intentions. He was willing to help teach anyone. And i admire how smart he is and how he was determined to learn. I just dont think he had his priorities in the right place. Instead of buying books he should have been buying things he needed. I also think it was wrong of him to think he was too good to work.

Description of the Merchant

The merchant was wore a many colored dress, buckled boots and a beaver hat. He also had a forking beard.

The narrator calls the Merchant estimable, basically saying he was admirable. The narrator said he was also an excellent fellow, but that he was in debt.

I think that the Merchant was very blunt and told his opinions. Some may say he is obnoxious, but in my opinioin we really dont know if he told his opinions in an obnoxious manner. I think staying firm to what you believe is a good thing, but how you say your opinions is another. I also think that he was really good at exchange as the text says. He was good at spending money, but not very good at saving it, causing him to be in debt.

Description of the Friar

The friar wore a short robe called a semi cope made of double-worsted.

In my opinion, the narrator doesnt really agree with the friar. When he calls him the "poor friar", i think that he was being sarcastic. The narrator doesnt really do anything but describe the Friar, didnt really give much of an opinion.

I think that the Friar was very good at putting on a show. He was also in a way very sneaky. He played with others minds to basically steal their money. I would say that Friar didnt have the best of character and way of being.

Description of the Monk

The monk had sleeves that were covered with grey fur, his hood fastened at his chin, and he wore a gold pin. He was bald and fat.

The narrator liked the monk, and agreed with his views. He agreed with the monks veiws that he shouldn't be seperated from the world.

I think that the monk wasnt a typical monk. As the text says, this monk liked to hunt. But according to the text back in those days, hunters were considered "unholy". Most monks are also very humble. They dont buy a lot of expensive things. This monk had lots of nice, fine, expensive things.

The description of the Nun

The nun had grey eyes, and she had an elegant nose. She had a big forhead, and a small mouth. She wore a cloak and a coral trinket on her arm. Her name was Madam Eglantyne.

The narrator thought the Nun was kind of fake. He also said she had very good manners though. He also said she was very sensitive and entertaining.

I think the Nun was probably not very true. She probably had good intentions, but didnt live up to her expectations as a Nun very well.
